    Forming a silver mound this fast growing shrub provides eye catching contrast in a low water landscape. Frost tolerant, Helichrysum splendidum gains a height and width of about 1 metre. Native to the Summer rainfall areas of southern Africa, eastern Africa and Yemen, Helichrysum spendidum is harvested for its essential oils which have anti inflammatory benefits. Golden everlasting flowers cover the bush in Summer. For best results this plant needs to be planted in full sun in a well drained position and not over watered. The Royal Horticultural Society has given Helichrysum splendidum an Award of Garden Merit.
