Sea Holly prefers a position in soil that isn't too wet or too rich. Good drainage in full sun is ideal. Drought, frost and salt tolerant. This variety is a wonderful cross between E. alpinum and E. bourgati with rich bright metallic blue thistle like flowering heads. Grows stiffly upright to 60cm and 30cm wide. Excellent performer in naturalistic plantings, gravel gardens and amongst smaller growing grasses. Can be planted as a single specimen, in drifts or in groupings. Fantastic in cut or dried flower arrangements.
