Intriguing name for a plant. The name 'Bad River' to us was always the reason to grow this variety. It is slightly shorter with darker flower spikes than the original form. Flower panicles are held horizontally to the flower stem and appear like mini dragon flies above the foliage. It is a wonderful addition to our gravel garden, where it is combined with Ratibida 'Red Midget' and Agapanthus 'Poppin Purple'.

A superior fine textured selection. We have this grass planted down a portion of our driveway. Brutal weather conditions in the Summer of 2018 and 2019 didn't warrant any extra water for this tough plant. It just kept on performing. Red tints in the flowers and strong yellow autumn foliage add extra interest to this already stunning grass.

'Sarabande' fits into the Miscanthus group between 'Gracillimus' and 'Yaku Jima'. Slightly taller than 'Yaku Jima', and produces inflorescences with gold tints in late Summer on top of narrow graceful leaves. Used as a hedge, focal point, backdrop or drift. Very versatile. Tolerates most soil types in full sun. 1.5m x 1.0m.

We are very excited to offer this grass for sale. It is relatively short at 70cm. The inflorescences open with a distinctive red tint. It is graceful and elegant yet tough in drought conditions. And....... it has the ability to handle soggy soils as well.
