This is a special selection of Ulmus parvifolia. Often used in bonsai culture, but has practical garden use as well. 'Seiju' makes a wonderful specimen tree to 3 metres. We have used this as a semi-deciduous / deciduous topiary and have found it to be very drought tolerant. The corky bark of the trunk and branches makes for a very appealing winter feature plant when it has no leaves. In Summer the dark green shiny leaves provide great accent to surrounding plants.
