Coastal Spear Grass is native to sea cliffs, the edges of beach dunes and sandy areas in and around the coastal strip of south eastern Australia. Silvery flower spikers sit above the bronze green mounded foliage. 90cm x 90cm. Tolerant of salt and high winds but must have well drained soil. Perfect for coastal gardens, but will struggle in clay rich soils further inland.

An evergreen grass forming a neat tussock of narrow, dark green leaves, with feathery panicles of silvery-purple flowers on arching stems in Summer. This grass grows particularly well in shadier spots in the garden. Approx. 60 x 60cm.

'Beyond Blue' is the bluest Festuca glauca released to date. It develops an attractive clump of blue-grey foliage to 30cm, and makes a great contrast to green foliaged ground covers. Low maintenance and drought tolerant. Stronger in growth than other forms and reputedly handles greater humidity. Good drainage is essential.

'Sarabande' fits into the Miscanthus group between 'Gracillimus' and 'Yaku Jima'. Slightly taller than 'Yaku Jima', and produces inflorescences with gold tints in late Summer on top of narrow graceful leaves. Used as a hedge, focal point, backdrop or drift. Very versatile. Tolerates most soil types in full sun. 1.5m x 1.0m.
