Commonly called Big Bluestem, Andropogon gerardii is an architectural grass with statuesque form. Well behaved and long lived, this grass is tough and requires little maintenance apart from a yearly cutback. The Autumn foliage colour in cooler areas is magnificent ranging through yellows to oranges and even reds. A blue green foliage cultivar of 'Little Bluestem'. Taller than 'Prairie Blues' with silvery appearance to the inflorescence. In 2022 is was awarded perennial plant of the year from the Perennial Plant Association of North America. 80cm x 60cm.
