We’re huge fans of this plant, and for good reason. Exceptionally tough and resilient, Hesperaloe parvifolia thrives in hot, dry conditions and tolerates frost with ease. Its slender, arching, blue-green foliage forms a dense, architectural clump, bringing yearround structure and texture to the garden.

Come late Spring / early Summer, tall, elegant flower spikes emerge above the foliage, carrying a succession of reddish-pink, bell-shaped flowers that are particularly attractive to pollinators. A wonderful choice for mass planting, contemporary landscapes or as a striking feature in a pot, this is a plant that delivers both beauty and remarkable toughness. Full sun. Approx. 1 x 1m.

Fun fact: Despite its common name, Red Yucca, Hesperaloe parvifolia isn’t actually a yucca - it belongs to the asparagus family (Asparagaceae) and is native to the rocky, arid landscapes of Texas and northeastern Mexico.

  • All plants are grown in a 100mm diameter pot
  • Plants are usually sent on a Monday each week to ensure they arrive prior to the weekend. All orders to VIC, SA and QLD are sent Express Post.
