Dark lavender-blue flowers nestled in purple calyces are a striking feature of this cultivar of Russian Sage. Uniform, dense foliage and heavy flower production make it very appealing as a garden plant. At 80 x 80cm it is a mid size Russian Sage with ovate, bluntly serrated blue-green leaves. Tough and easily grown in well drained soils, 'Blue Steel' is an attractive disease free cultivar with a long bloom period and great reliability.
