This Viburnum cultivar provides year round interest in any garden. Deciduous in Winter, the bare stems and branches provide a wonderful silhouette. In Spring, beautiful lobed leaves emerge in a bronzy green colour which leads to lace-cap flowers similar to Hydrangea. Creamy white bracts surround red bronze flowers in a beautiful yet unusual array in Autumn. Stunning orange red hues dominate as the shrub heads back into Winter. The species, Viburnum sargentii is an Asian native but this cultivar is named for the Onondaga people whose traditional homeland is Onondaga County, New York. 'Onondaga' benefits from well composted soils with ample moisture. 2.5m x 1.5m. Cold tolerant to -20ºC. A recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
