Lavender is not what we normally make available for purchase online. However this small batch of 'Grosso' is an exception. We grow a few Lavender in our gravel garden of which 'Grosso' is the only Summer flowering form. It is superbly even in growth making almost perfect spheres. Bred in France in 1972. Dark violet flowers are produced evenly across the plant. Favoured by Lavender farms for its high oil production, stunning appearance and ease of harvest. Requires full sun and good drainage. 80cm x 80cm. The photo was taken at Wanaka Lavender Farm.

Wildly popular for their easy going, tough and tolerant temperament. Year round double ruffled pink blooms in mild climates. Large flowers hang like little old fashioned roses. 1.5 - 1.8m tall shrub. A deciduous Berberis with a slender narrow upright growth habit. Grows to 1m high and 50cm wide. 'Pow Wow' prefers full sun and good drainage. Light green, splashed with cream foliage that is a vivid lime green in Summer with new growth. Autumn foliage is spectacular giving this plant its name 'Pow Wow'. Intense orangey pink to red tones adorn the upright spiky stems in late Autumn and early Winter.

Casuarina 'Green Wave' is one of our preferred native shrubs that thrives in our climate and heavy clay soils. A sub-shrub to 80cm with soft, cool, powdery blue plumbago style flowers. Easy to combine with other perennials or sub shrubs due to its versatility and tolerance of soil type, heat and drought. The leaves are leathery and edge in red with the entire plant turning orange in Autumn. A great garden addition.
