'Arizona Sandstone' is a new compact hybrid form of hummingbird mint. Extensive trials have been undertaken in the arid climates of western USA before the release of 'Arizona Sandstone'. Due to its size (25 x 25cm) it is extremely useful in containers or tubs as well as mass planted in raised garden beds. The burnt orange terracotta tubular flowers cover the green grey foliage throughout late Summer and Autumn. 'Arizona Sandstone' doesn't like poorly drained soils or wet cold Winters. Drought tolerant.

Our favourite hummingbird mint! Korean in origin, 'Blue Fortune' does require better soils and a bit more water than Mexican varieties. However the reward is a higher impact, visually stunning plant. It works well with ornamental grasses, silver foliage plants, Echinacea, Rudbeckia and Helenium. 80cm x 60cm.

Also known as Hummingbird Mint or Giant Hyssop, this plant is a superb addition to the perennial border. Tolerant of heat and cold, Agastache aurantiaca provides a blast of tubular, peachy-apricot flowers during Summer and flowers continuously until frost. The large quantities of essential oils in the leaves make the plant highly aromatic and also resistant to browsing animals. Full sun. 80cm x 40cm.
