A bold, evergreen sub-shrub known for its striking silver grey foliage and tall spires of violet blue flowers that appear in Spring. Its nectar rich blooms make it highly attractive to pollinators. Tolerant of full sun, wind, and dry, coastal conditions. An excellent choice for Mediterranean style gardens or coastal positions. Requires well drained soil and full sun. Works beautifully as a statement plant or mass-planted for dramatic effect.

Its common name, Pride of Madeira, comes from the plant's origin, the island of Madeira (in the North Atlantic Ocean) where is grows wild on rocky slopes and coastal cliffs. Approx. 1.5m x 1.5m. Prefers a frost free environment.

  • All plants are grown in a 100mm diameter pot
  • Plants are usually sent on a Monday each week to ensure they arrive prior to the weekend. All orders to VIC, SA and QLD are sent Express Post.
