Helleborus 'Duke of Burgundy' is a striking winter-flowering perennial prized for its rich, velvety blooms in deep burgundy to wine-red tones. Flowering from late autumn through winter, the elegant, outward-facing flowers are held above attractive, evergreen foliage, bringing welcome colour to shaded gardens when little else is in bloom. Exceptionally long-lived and low maintenance, it is ideal for woodland gardens, shaded borders, underplanting deciduous trees, or growing in containers. Best planted in well-drained, humus-rich soil, 'Duke of Burgundy' thrives in part to full shade and is well suited to cool-temperate Australian gardens. Approx. 40cm x 40cm.
Fun Fact: Known as the 'Winter Rose', hellebores bring colour to the garden when most other perennials are dormant. Once established, they can thrive in the same spot for decades, becoming more impressive with each passing winter.
