A hardy deciduous shrub with striking double purple flowers that appear from late summer into early autumn. ‘Double Purple’ grows to around 2.5–3 metres high and forms a naturally upright shape, making it suitable as a feature plant or informal screen. It performs best in full sun and well-drained soil, and is tolerant of frost and dry conditions once established.
