'Riverina James' was developed alongside 'Riverina Thomas' by Dr. Nigel Urwin at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, NSW. Unlike the other Riverina strains, which were bred primarily for commercial oil production, 'Riverina James' was selected as a robust, fast-growing lavender ideal for ornamental plantings and hedging.
Producing fragrant grey-green foliage with a strong sweet perfume inherited from its French Lavender lineage, it bears rich dark blue flower spikes through the warmer months. The flowers are excellent for cutting and have a long vase life. Hardy, drought tolerant once established and ideal for en masse plantings, hedging or pots in sunny positions. Approximately 80–100cm high and wide.
- All plants are grown in a 100mm diameter pot
- Plants are usually sent on a Monday each week to ensure they arrive prior to the weekend. All orders to VIC, SA and QLD are sent Express Post.
