A well-established Australian lavender, Lavandula × intermedia ‘Margaret Rocky Hall’ has been grown commercially for many years for its high-quality essential oil. It produces long, lacy spikes of soft violet-blue flowers which dry to a beautiful silvery-mauve grey. The dried flowers retain a strong yet refreshingly floral fragrance, making them particularly useful for potpourri and dried floral arrangements.
In the garden, ‘Margaret Rocky Hall’ forms a vigorous, upright plant with fragrant silver-grey foliage and a Summer flowering season. The tall flower spikes make a lovely feature in mass plantings and low informal hedges. Drought and frost tolerant. Grows best in full sun and excellent drainage in alkaline soils. Responds well to pruning after flowering and highly attractive to bees. Approx. 80cm high x 80cm wide.
- All plants are grown in a 100mm diameter pot
- Plants are usually sent on a Monday each week to ensure they arrive prior to the weekend. All orders to VIC, SA and QLD are sent Express Post.
