One of the best known of all the Oriental Poppies... and with good reason. Deep red flowers with a black centre on tall stems stand out in any garden. Best grown in cooler climates as Oriental Poppies require a cold period in order to flower well. Summer dormant. The flower colour has been referred to as blood red, bordello red or deep scarlet red. All are true and adds to the intrigue.
