'Credo' was a complete surprise to us. After growing a number of different Achilleas over the years we weren't too keen to try 'just another Achillea'. However, after a little convincing we tried a small batch of 'Credo'. The strength, growth rate and heat resistance of 'Credo' become immediately evident, and a double bonus came on top of that - soft sulphur lemon flowers that last all through the Summer and well into Autumn. The one that nearly got away, and now we wouldn't be without. 60 x 60cm in free draining soil.

Bred by Ernst Pagels in Germany and introduced in 1995. Four years later it received an Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society. It is very well behaved, easy care and drought tolerant. In our gravel garden it is a real show stopper, combining well with Salvia barrelieri and Stipa ichu. The soft lemon flowers are abundant and fade to a parchment tone as they age. 50cm x 50cm and makes an excellent cut flower.

Sage green fern like foliage make for an attractive plant before any flowers appear. An easy to grow, adaptable perennial with a long flowering period and compact habit. 60 x 60cm.

The fragrance emitted by these flowers is reminiscent of Jasmine with a hint of grape. For best performance it requires adequate watering and semi-shade. 'Black Negligee' is known to have much more vigour than other dark varieties of Actaea. 1m high x 1/2m wide.

Beautiful deep blue flowers on a compact plant to 45cm tall. We have grown 'Blue Thunder' for 5 years and have been very impressed. Through drought, flood, heat and cold (-6ºC) it has performed and flowered each year. There has been no self seeding which is a feature of the modern hybrids. Highly recommended.

'Madison' handles humid conditions better than many other Agapanthus varieties and therefore is suited to sub-tropical and tropical climates. It has more upright foliage which makes it useful for pot culture. The flowers are bicolour, mauve and white and stand 50-75cm above the dark green foliage which gets to a maximum height of 50cm.

'Minto' is a very stately Agapanthus. It is the tallest of all the Agapanthus we grow. Dusky dark blue slightly drooping flowers stand up to 1.8m and provide a real statement in the garden. Plants are grown from seed collected from the strongest plants and therefore may provide a little variation from the parent plants. Evergreen.

'Poppin Purple' is a wonderful new evergreen dwarf Agapanthus to around 60cm including flowers. We have had it growing in our gravel garden for two years and found it to be a great performer. Contrasts well with any dwarf orange Agastache and silver foliage plants like Helichrysum italicum. The purple colour is superb and is definately more purple than blue. We found it can bleach a little on extremely hot days so it may prefer slightly less sun hours than we give it.
