We have trialled a number of Agastache because they are exciting, fragrant, lively and bring a certain zing to the garden. 'Apricot Sprite' is one of the best and has performed really well over a number of years. The zesty orange flowers liven up any space and combine really well with ornamental grasses. 50 x 50cm.

Mexican Hummingbird Mints have some of the most fragrant foliage of all garden plants this one is no exception. The tangerine orange flowers are beautifully intense and fragrant as well. This white flowering form of Korean Mint is an upright grower that provides subtle verticality to the garden. Large pure white flowers are held above the dark green arrow shaped leaves throughout Summer. All parts of the plant are aromatic and the leaves are edible. 'Liquorice White' is a robust perennial enjoying sunny conditions and well drained soils. It is a wonderful plant for attracting bees and butterflies as it produces copious amounts of nectar. 80cm high x 45cm wide.

Commonly called the Drumstick Allium. A fantastic little burgundy flowered Allium that we have no problem growing in our climate (-7ºC to 45ºC). It pops up out of the ground in early Spring and flowers in November/December to around 60cm in height. The dark burgundy spherical flower heads contrast beautifully with ornamental grasses, Sedums and wispy perennials like Amsonia.

A long name for a little plant! We were very surprised by the ability of this Amsonia to survive extreme heat and frost. Storing water in its swollen roots, this Amsonia has the palest of blue star-like flowers on willow like mid green foliage. Botanically intriguing, this is an exciting plant for the landscape. 60cm x 60cm.

Commonly called Big Bluestem, Andropogon gerardii is an architectural grass with statuesque form. Well behaved and long lived, this grass is tough and requires little maintenance apart from a yearly cutback. The Autumn foliage colour in cooler areas is magnificent ranging through yellows to oranges and even reds. Deep rooted and drought tolerant once established, 'Big Bluestem' is wonderful as a backdrop or a feature. 1.5 - 2m in height. Grown for its form and Autumn appeal.

A fantastic grass for Autumn colour as its name implies, the colours in Autumn range from pink, bronze, rusty red and orange. The Summer foliage is a complete contrast of grey-green. Upright inflorescence stay standing above the foliage for months and contain lovely fluffy seed heads. 'Blaze' adapts to difficult conditions, poor soils and drought.
