Buy 1 for $12.00 / Buy 5 for $50.00
Salvia nemorosa is native to a wide area of Central Europe and Western Asia. There are numerous cultivars, of which 'Caradonna' is in our opinion the most impressive. Extremely popular, 'Caradonna' provides a rich display of deep violet blue flower spikes on unusually dark stems through Spring and early Summer, and if cut back sends up a repeat flowering in Autumn. An outstanding variety, which performs well in our high heat conditions. 60 x 60cm.

Like all nemorosa Salvias, 'Giovanni' is an herbaceous perennial. It is the darkest of all its type, producing violet purple blooms from sage green leaves. Shorter than other varieties we have grown like 'Caradonna', however the colour of the flowers is second to none. It's a real eye catcher when in bloom. 30cm high x 40cm wide. Prefers full sun with well drained, loamy soil.

Leaves are a bright green with a velvety appearance yet a pebbly texture. Handles heat and dry as well as cold and light frost. Native to the Sierra Madre Del Sur mountain range in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. Prefers well drained soils and best pruned to keep a good form. Originates from South America, 'Rhythm & Blues' is a new form of Salvia in the Bodacious® series. It is superior to many S. guaranitica forms due to deeper green leaves, more numerous and larger flowers and stronger less breakable stems. Deep electric blue flowers are supported by intense black calyxes. It's a "made you look twice" flower.
'Rhythm & Blues' is strongly perennial in warmer climates but in frosty Winters it will need some protection to ensure a return in Spring. 1m x 1m. -
Salvia x jamensis 'Ignition Purple'

As a rule we have generally avoided growing smaller leaved bush Salvias due to their popularity in large garden centres. However with 'Ignition Purple' we have made an exception. It is notably heat and drought tolerant and has a reputation for being the most humidity tolerant of its type. But the real reason we included it in our range was the explosion of purple flowers throughout Summer. Irresistible!! 50-60cm tall and wide. Full sun with good drainage. Combines well with silver foliage, Tulbaghia varieties, Rudbeckia and Sedum.
