Commonly called Big Bluestem, Andropogon gerardii is an architectural grass with statuesque form. Well behaved and long lived, this grass is tough and requires little maintenance apart from a yearly cutback. The Autumn foliage colour in cooler areas is magnificent ranging through yellows to oranges and even reds.
