Wonderful! A classic mophead hydrangea of French heritage as the name suggests. Admired for its pure white, wavy edged florets that gradually develop soft blush-pink tones as they mature. Exceptionally long flowering from summer through to autumn.
A vigorous, reliable variety with a rounded habit, 'Madam Emile Mouillère' is ideal for shaded to part-shaded borders, cottage gardens and large containers. It thrives in moist, fertile, well-drained soil with protection from the hot afternoon sun. Growing to approximately 2m high × 2m wide, it makes a stunning feature plant and provides excellent cut flowers that age beautifully.
Fun Fact: Hydrangea macrophylla 'Madam Emile Mouillère' was introduced in France in 1909 and named after the French nurseryman who selected this exceptional variety. It remains one of the most popular white mophead hydrangeas more than a century after its introduction.
