Introducing Panicum 'Lama Rossa', translated from the Italian for red blade. After many years of growing this Panicum we have decided to give it a name. Upright to about 1m in height like its parent plant 'Heavy Metal'. The main difference between this and 'Heavy Metal' is in the colour - it has red tips to the blades which age to being a dark burgundy. Then as Summer wanes this Panicum puts on a cloack of autumnal hues - claret, sanguine, maroon and bronze before fading into its Winter wheaton colours. A proven performer.

Beautiful silver blue upright foliage is this native grass' main feature. We've loved this grass ever since we acquired it over 10 years ago. It can reach over 150cm in good soil, less in poorer soils. Tough.
