A new sensibility

A new sensibility

In recent months it has become more obvious that our plant choices for future garden use must take into consideration their ability to withstand low water conditions. Our situation in Gloucester isn’t as severe as some areas in the country but enough to have us thinking really hard about what we can grow as a business and which plants we choose for our own plantings.

The criteria we use to determine what we grow isn’t going to change too much as we have been trialling drought tolerant plants for a number of years. However we will concentrate more on adding plants to our range that bring form and beauty to the landscape, as well as being drought tolerant. Here is the first release of our low water tolerant plant range.

 Carissa 'Green Carpet'

  Hesperaloe parviflora

  Panicum amarum

  Punica granatum 'Nana'

  Rhagodia parabolica 'Grey Edge'

  Salvia lanceolata

  Ruscus hypoglossum
