An excellent low mounding shrub that has proven it's place in our garden. 'Icicles' is similar to it's cousin, Helichrysum italicum but has slightly longer linear leaves on longer stalks with soft lemon flowers and no curry scented leaves. Whilst H. italicum is grown for its mounded shape, 'Icicles' is grown for its flower. Very drought tolerant. Frost tolerant. Full sun. Will handle poor soils. 80cm x 80cm.

An excellent tall perennial with deep bronze green leaves and black flower stems. This is reportedly the first variety without yellow in the flowers. Flower buds are red and petals emerge as an orange red, which fade to a golden orange. Makes a wonderful cut flower easily grown in good soil. 1.2m x 60cm.

'My Reggae Tiger' is the essential orange daylily. Bred by Dutch specialist nursery, Heemskerk and registered in 2006, it is all orange - a rich fiery flame of colour in the garden. Provides 4-6 weeks of colour on strappy deep green leaves. Prefers moist humus rich soil but will tolerate tougher environments. Handles heat and extreme cold. 60cm x 60cm.

We are a huge fan of this plant for numerous reasons: First, it's ability to handle extreme hot and dry conditions plus it handles frost no problem; Second, it's slender, arching evergreen blue-green foliage that forms a dense clump; Third, this plant is stunning when in flower during the Summer months with an elegant panicle of reddish pink flowers. Hibiscus syriacus grow particularly well in our climate in Gloucester, NSW. We get anything from very hot and dry to very wet and humid in Summer, to -5 in Winter. Clay is the base for all our soils. Hibiscus syriacus 'Double Pale Pink' is vase shaped to 2 metres maximum in height and deciduous. Soft pale pink flowers cover the bush through Summer and into Autumn. A real eye catcher.

Annabelle Hydrangea produces huge round heads of pure white blooms from Summer into Autumn. Grows well in cooler regions, inland and south of Sydney. It is best practice to cut the stems to the ground in Winter as new shoots emerge from the base. Flowering occurs on current seasons growth. Evenly moist, well drained soils in partial shade are ideal for good performance. 1.2 - 1.5m in height and a slightly wider spread.

Lime green buds open to pure white mop head flowers. In contrast the flowers fade to stunning Autumnal tones. 'Agnes Pavelli' forms a neat compact shrub, smaller than 'Le Cygne'. As with all Hydrangeas, they perform best if protected from direct sunlight in the middle of the day. Makes for a wonderful cut flower that ages beautifully.

Large mop head Hydrangea flowers that will vary in colour according to the soil pH. The addition of Hydrangea blue-ing agent to the soil will enable the plant to produce deep blue flowers. All Hydrangeas prefer partial to semi shade, enriched free draining soil, protection from wind and additional fertiliser and moisture. A yearly pruning will result in the best floral display. Height 2m and width 2m. We assume 'Benelux' is named after the economic union in Western Europe of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg which takes its name from the combining of the beginning of each country's name.

Bred in Germany in 1965, 'Blauer Zwerg' is a compact mop head Hydrangea, growing to just over 1m in height and width. It has strong foliage giving a beautiful compact appearance even without flowers. The blooms are consistent and reliable and always a tone of blue even in alkaline soil. With feeding the blue tones can be enhanced to a brilliant cobalt colour. Deciduous and semi-shade to shadier conditions. Requires humus enriched soil and adequate moisture to perform at its best.

A compact and particularly elegant Hydrangea. Beautifully soft pink flowers in alkaline soils and an equally soft blue in acidic conditions. 1-1.2m x 80cm. Giving the appearance of a lace cap Hydrangea when the flowers first emerge, 'Emotion' develops into a pretty double flowered mophead form.

This variety was bred by T. Yamamoto in Japan in 1960. It is a remarkable cultivar in that it has exceptionally large double lacecap flowers. The outer flowers are attached to long stems which carry them away from the main body of the flowers. This feature has the appearance of fireworks. Height 1.6m x 1.2m in width. Hardy, deciduous shrub for part shade or filtered light. Protect from harsh sun.
