RHS Award of Garden Merit. A highly aesthetic form of lace cap Hydrangea. The flowers lend themselves to a two tone appearance. Deep pink to red cross shaped sterile bracts surround the small starry lavender pink fertile flowers. The foliage is a strong mid green which gains a deep red Autumn hue once the flowers have faded. In acidic soil the flowers will have a rich purple tone. 1-1.2m high x 1m wide. Deciduous.

'Greenspire' features long, conical shaped panicles comprising sterile and fertile florets. The fertile florets retain a lime green colour while the sterile white florets age to a light pink in Autumn. Performs best in part sun to light shade. Benefits from irrigation during dry periods. Panicles may be cut for fresh arrangements or for drying. Best if pruned back in late Winter. Approximately 1.5m high x 1.5m wide.

Native to China and Japan, a large deciduous shrub suited to cooler districts. In late Spring pink buds develop into large white conical flowers, maturing into pink blooms which age gracefully into Autumn. Great for cut flowers. Reaches 2.5m high in ideal conditions. Commonly known as Oakleaf Hydrangea, which distinguishes it from other Hydrangeas. This handsome deciduous shrub is native to southeastern United States and grows naturally in open woodland habitats. Pyramidal panicles of white flowers are produced in late Spring and Summer. It is easily grown in part shade to semi shade environments with well drained compost enriched soils. Adequate moisture is required for best results. Attains a height and width of 1.2 - 1.5m.

RHS Award of Garden Merit. This Oakleaf Hydrangea variety is particularly beautiful. The double white flowers tinged with lime green arch in clusters down from the deeply lobed mid green foliage. As the flowers age they adopt a pink hue which in turn browns to the appearance of parchment. The foliage colours to match, ageing to a bronze-purple in Autumn. The colder the Autumn the better the colour. A very eye catching specimen plant. Grows to 1.5m high and does best in well drained moist soil.

A plant we have grown consistently for 25 years. Easily grown, Japanese Iris prefers semi shade and compost enriched soil. Adequate moisture will ensure quick growth. The white striped leaves brighten up any shaded space. Variegated Iris japonica contrasts well with Ajuga 'Catlins Giant', Ruscus hypoglossum, Plectranthus and Helleborus. Pretty ruffled blue and white flowers appear occasionally on 60cm spikes in early Spring. 45cm in height.
