An outstanding compact form of Catmint with rounded mounds of blue green foliage. One of the best forms we've grown and a definite improvement on some older varieties. It has many uses from borders to mixed planting and gravel gardens. It is a very floriferous selection whose powdery blue flowers have dark purple calyxes. Combines well with Lavender 'Grosso', Phlomis platystegia, Andropogon varieties, Salvia nemerosa forms and Sedums. 40cm maximum height x 40cm wide.

Nepeta 'Six Hills Giant'

'Six Hills Giant' has, and continues to be, a great garden favourite. A haze of lavender blue that sits 80cm above the earth and 1-1.5m wide is a sight to behold, particularly in the late afternoon light. It is a tough and easily grown plant but not for those who want low maintenance. We find that it needs cutting back at least three times a year to keep it at its finest. It can be untidy and flop around if left unattended. Good drainage is a requirement otherwise 'Six Hills Giant' may rot.

An early flowering new form of Catmint from Terra Nova Nurseries. Captivating bright lavender purple flowers rise above distinctive sweet scented foliage. Happy in sandy, stoney, gravelly or poor soils and enjoys drier conditions. However, soils that are prone to water logging will quickly suffocate Nepeta. Prune back after flowering for a repeat performance. 10cm high x 60cm wide. Excellent ground cover or container plant - works well in a hanging basket.

Olea europaea 'Piccolo'
Sold out
Buy 1 for $12.00 / Buy 5 for $50.00
Over a number of years we have planted a series of Olea europaea 'Piccolo' in really tough conditions - drought, frost, poor soil, no irrigation. With a little trimming they look stunning. Olives are known for their ability to survive low water conditions. They have deep roots that penetrate even our reactive clay soils. We are really impressed with this plant as we have had no need to provide any additional water. 'Piccolo' produces no fruit but does provide beauty with silver lanceolate leaves and extreme durability. Although they can grow to 2m, we keep ours to 1m in almost spherical mounds. They would also make a wonderful low hedge.
